Karnataka Congress Leadership Tussle Resurfaces
There's a big discussion happening in Karnataka's Congress party about who should be the leader.
The current Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, and his deputy, DK Shivakumar, have been having meetings to show they're not fighting.
But then, Siddaramaiah's son, Yathindra, said his dad will stay as Chief Minister for the full term.
This made some of Shivakumar's supporters cheer for him to be the next Chief Minister.
The opposition BJP party is worried that all this fighting is making it hard for the government to do its job.
Meanwhile, the new leaders of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) met with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister to discuss bringing back cricket matches to the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The government said they will decide soon about allowing matches there and are also thinking about building new stadiums.
Yathindra Siddaramaiah stated his father, Siddaramaiah, will remain Chief Minister for the full term.
Supporters of DK Shivakumar chanted slogans welcoming him as the next Chief Minister.
MLC Channaraj referred to Shivakumar as 'Chief Minister DK Shivakumar' in a social media post.
DK Shivakumar denied any differences with Siddaramaiah and said he was unaware of Yathindra's statements.
BJP criticized the Congress leadership tussle, stating it is paralyzing governance in Karnataka.
