NPDCL Launches Smart System for Enhanced Power Supply Reliability
Imagine your electricity provider, NPDCL, wants to make sure you always have power and it's good quality.
They've started using a new smart system called RTFMS.
This system watches the power lines closely, like a watchful parent.
If there's a problem, like a wire getting too hot or an outage, it instantly tells the repair crew so they can fix it super fast.
It helps them know exactly where the problem is, so they don't have to guess.
They are also putting in special little helpers called FPIs that light up or send a text when there's a fault, making it even quicker to find and fix issues.
For big electricity users, they have a system that automatically reads their meters, so bills are more accurate and faster.
This all means less time without power and a better experience for everyone.
NPDCL has launched the Real-Time Feeder Monitoring System (RTFMS) across 16 circles to improve power supply.
The RTFMS enables real-time data monitoring, prompt corrective actions, and reduced power interruptions.
Fault Passage Indicators (FPIs) are being installed on power lines to quickly pinpoint and address faults.
An Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) system is being piloted for High-Tension consumers to ensure accurate billing.
NPDCL aims to enhance supply reliability and operational efficiency through these technological advancements.
