Circular Economy to Boost Dairy Farmers' Income
Amit Shah, the Union Home and Cooperation Minister, spoke at an event in Gujarat about a new way to help dairy farmers make more money.
This plan, called a circular economy, uses things like cow poop to make biogas and fertilizer, which can be sold for extra income.
Banas Dairy, a big dairy in Gujarat, is already doing this and making a lot of money.
Shah said that if this plan is used all over India, dairy farmers could make 20% more money in the next five years.
The government will help with money and technology to make this happen.
Shah also praised the women dairy farmers for their hard work and mentioned that the Prime Minister has a plan called 'White Revolution 2.0' to make these goals happen.
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah announced that a circular economy model could increase dairy farmers' income by 20% in the next five years.
The model, demonstrated by Banas Dairy, includes converting cattle dung into biogas and bio-fertiliser for extra income.
Shah mentioned that MPs and dairy cooperative leaders will visit Banas Dairy to learn about the circular economy model.
The government will provide finance and technology to adopt this model nationwide, including leather production from naturally harvested cattle hide.
Shah praised women dairy farmers for their contributions and efforts in strengthening the dairy sector in Gujarat.
