Madhya Pradesh Plans Better Land Compensation
The Madhya Pradesh government is working on a new system to decide how much money farmers should get when the government takes their land for development.
A committee of ministers is discussing this and will give their report soon.
Farmers and a group called Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS) want the government to pay more money, based on the current market price of the land.
People can send their suggestions about this until January 30.
Right now, only one factor is used to decide the compensation, but the government wants to make it better.
Madhya Pradesh government is forming a committee to improve land acquisition compensation for farmers.
The committee includes ministers Rakesh Singh, Tulsi Silawat, and Chetanya Kashyap.
Suggestions for the new compensation system can be submitted until January 30 via email.
Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS) demands maximum compensation at market price for acquired land.
