Survey Projects NDA Ahead Despite BJP Support Decline

Survey Projects NDA Ahead Despite BJP Support Decline

A survey asked people how they might vote if India held national elections today.

It said the NDA alliance could win 326 seats.

That would be enough to form a government because 272 seats are needed for a majority.

The BJP, the biggest party in the alliance, could win 261 seats.

This is lower than its earlier survey estimates but higher than the 240 seats it won in 2024.

The Congress could improve to 106 seats.

The survey also estimated that the INDIA bloc could win 185 seats.

The results suggest the NDA remains ahead, while young voters and education-related concerns may challenge the BJP.
