Landslide Forces Cancellation of Six Trains in Odisha’s Rayagada Division

Heavy rain caused a landslide on a railway line in Odisha.

The landslide happened between Maligura and Chhatariput stations.

Because the track was unsafe, six trains were cancelled.

Some other trains were stopped before their usual destinations or began from different stations.

Railway workers are carrying out restoration work.

The cancellations were meant to protect passengers and workers.

Heavy rain also caused flooding and waterlogging in 13 districts.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi surveyed some flooded areas by air.
