India seeks UAE extradition in 2006 Lonavala murder
India wants the UAE to send back a man named Hussain Mohammed Shattaf, who is the main suspect in a murder that happened in 2006.
The victim was a retired captain named Manmohan Singh Virdi, who was found dead in his house in Lonavala, Maharashtra.
The police have charged Shattaf, his wife, and another person for this crime.
Shattaf ran away from India and is believed to be living in the UAE with fake documents.
India and the UAE have an agreement to send back people who have committed crimes, and India is using this agreement to bring Shattaf back.
The Indian Supreme Court has also said that the trial against Shattaf and his wife should continue.
The police have even asked Interpol, which is like a global police organization, to help catch Shattaf.
Shattaf is also accused of forging documents to stay in the UAE.
India is seeking the extradition of Hussain Mohammed Shattaf, the prime accused in the 2006 murder of Manmohan Singh Virdi, from the UAE.
The murder occurred on 14 May 2006 at Virdi's bungalow in Lonavala, Maharashtra, and the case was registered as FIR No. 46/2006.
