Ratlam Collector Seeks Action Over Defunct Fluoride Plants
Some machines that remove fluoride from drinking water have stopped working in parts of Ratlam district.
The machines are in the Sailana and Bajna areas.
They have reportedly been broken or unused for about one and a half to two years.
Ratlam Collector Ajay Katesariya was unhappy that the problem had not been fixed.
He ordered officials to send a show-cause notice to an executive engineer.
He also told them to take immediate steps to restart the plants.
The repair process had reached the tender stage but then stopped.
A related water and sanitation meeting was cancelled because two officials did not attend.
