Caruana takes lead as fatigue shadows Praggnanandhaa in GCT Final

Fabiano Caruana and R Praggnanandhaa are playing a chess final.

Caruana won the first long, Classical game.

Praggnanandhaa played well for much of the game, but one rook move made his position much harder to defend.

Caruana then exchanged important pieces and gained an extra pawn.

His bishop and passed pawn became very strong.

Praggnanandhaa eventually gave up because the position was nearly impossible to save.

Caruana now leads the match by 6-0 points.

However, many points are still available in the remaining seven games.
