Students can use videos, online classrooms, digital books and other tools.

It also lets learners take courses from institutions in other places.
Teachers can use recorded lessons, online discussions and digital assignments.
But students need internet access, devices and support to learn well.
Some people may be left out if they cannot afford or access the needed technology.
World Distance Learning Day 2026 emphasizes making online education useful and available to everyone.
World Distance Learning Day 2026 highlights remote and digital education’s growing role in expanding access to learning.
