Indian Banks Closed November 22-23, Aside from Birsa Munda Holiday

Indian Banks Closed November 22-23, Aside from Birsa Munda Holiday

Next week, from November 17 to 23, banks in India will be closed on Saturday, November 22, and Sunday, November 23.

This is because the second and fourth Saturdays, and all Sundays, are usually days off for banks.

Before this, on November 15, banks in Ranchi, a city in the state of Jharkhand, were closed for a special reason.

They celebrated the birthday of a tribal freedom fighter named Birsa Munda and also the state's own foundation day.

The Reserve Bank of India makes the list of these holidays.

Even when banks are closed, you can still use your phone or computer for banking, like transferring money or checking your balance.

ATMs will also be open if you need cash.
