India's Q1 FY27 smartphone exports hit $10B record
India's smartphone exports reached a new high of nearly $10 billion in the first three months of the fiscal year 2027.
This big jump, up 23.4% from the same time last year, was mostly because of iPhones made in India and sent to the United States.
Smartphones now make up more than half of all electronics India exports.
This growth is thanks to both the government's help, like special rules and money for making electronics, and big companies like Apple and Samsung investing in India.
Last year, iPhones alone made up three-quarters of all smartphone exports, showing how important Apple is to this success.
India's smartphone exports hit a record $9.84 billion in Q1 FY27, up 23.4% year-on-year.
The US was the largest market for India's smartphone exports, showing strong demand.
Smartphones accounted for 64.8% of total electronics goods exports of $15.2 billion.
Apple's manufacturing partners, Foxconn and Samsung, drove significant export growth.
Government initiatives like PLI scheme and FDI relaxations supported this expansion.
