UP Board Urges Classes 9–12 to Obtain APAAR IDs

The UP Board wants students in Classes 9 to 12 to get an APAAR ID.

This is a permanent 12-digit digital identity for school records.

It can help keep marks, certificates and academic credits in one place.

Some documents can also be stored digitally on DigiLocker.

This may help prevent important papers from being lost or damaged.

The ID may also help students access scholarships and education-related benefits using accurate records.

Students do not have to provide the ID when submitting forms.

Schools are still being asked to encourage all students to get one with their parents’ consent.
