Pakistani LeT Terrorist Killed in High-Altitude Budgam Operation
Security forces carried out an operation in the mountains near Yusmarg in Kashmir.
They said they killed a man named Yasir, who was Pakistani and affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Officials said Yasir was connected to three attacks in 2024.
These included an attack on an Indian Air Force convoy, an attack on construction workers near Sonamarg, and an attack on soldiers and porters near Bota Pathri.
Another suspected terrorist named Musa was believed to be hiding nearby.
Soldiers and police were searching for him.
The area is very high in the mountains, with some locations between 12,000 and 15,500 feet.
Rain and very poor visibility made the search harder.
More troops were positioned to prevent possible escape routes.
