Court Considers Women Officers' Permanent Commission Pleas
The Supreme Court is deciding whether the Army is being fair to women officers when deciding if they can have a permanent job.
The government says it follows the rules fairly, but the women officers disagree, arguing their service, including in tough areas like Galwan, wasn't properly considered.
The court heard arguments from both sides.
The Centre stated there is no discrimination, the annual confidential reports are gender-neutral, and that criteria appointments are not the sole factor for granting permanent commissions.
The Court will announce its decision later.
