Paul McCartney Lands First Mercury Prize Nomination at 84
Paul McCartney, the famous former Beatle, got his first nomination for the Mercury Prize, a big music award in the UK.
He was 84 years old and the nomination was for his new album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane.
Five other musicians, including Jade Thirlwall, Raye, Dove Ellis, and Knats, also got their first nominations.
Some older musicians like Dave and Suede were nominated again.
The award will be given out on 22 October at a big hall in Newcastle, and it celebrates many kinds of music from the UK and Ireland.

The shortlist covers pop, rock, hip hop, electronic, and alternative genres from British and Irish artists.
Winner will be announced on 22 October at Newcastle's Utilita Arena.
