Kharge Demands RSS Registration, Threatens Legal Action

Priyank Kharge, the Karnataka home minister, has strongly criticized the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for not being registered as a legal entity.

He said the RSS does not have the right to claim patriotism if it does not follow the law.

Kharge also mentioned that the RSS did not support national symbols like the tricolour during the freedom movement.

He threatened to introduce a law in Karnataka to make registration mandatory for such organizations.

The RSS, however, rejected the proposal, saying they operate openly and have nothing to hide.

The event was attended by senior advocate Prashant Bhushan and Congress leader Udit Raj.
