Muslim League Protests Jamaat Leader's Appointment to Kerala Minister's Staff

A political party in India called the Indian Union Muslim League is upset about a new job.

A man named K Ashraf was given a job working for a government minister in Kerala.

He used to be a leader of a student group connected to another organization.

Some people in the Muslim League are angry because their own suggested workers did not get jobs.

The leaders had sent a list of 18 names of people they wanted to be hired.

None of those people were chosen.

Some party members think the job was given to thank another group for supporting them in elections.

The party's general secretary said there were only a limited number of jobs available.

The unhappy members are asking the party to look at the decision again.

The chief minister of Kerala said he did not know about the issue.
