Vijayan Criticizes Congress-Jamaat Alliance in Kerala
The Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, spoke at an event and said that the Congress party is making a big mistake by teaming up with Jamaat-e-Islami for elections.
He believes both Jamaat-e-Islami and Hindutva groups have similar ideas and want religion to control everything, like how Mussolini and Hitler did.
He also mentioned that many Muslims in Kerala don't support Jamaat-e-Islami.
Additionally, he talked about how Kerala has improved with projects like the Kochi Metro and programs to help people, and he urged voters to support secular values in the upcoming elections.
Pinarayi Vijayan accused Congress of forming a 'suicidal' alliance with Jamaat-e-Islami for electoral gains.
He claimed both Jamaat-e-Islami and Hindutva organizations promote religion-based nationalism and governance.
Vijayan likened their ideological approach to that of Mussolini and Hitler, citing teachings of Abul A'la Maududi.
He mentioned Kerala's development projects like Kochi Metro, Water Metro, and initiatives to eradicate hunger and improve infrastructure.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of secularism and federalism in the current political context.
