Maharashtra FDA Chief Warns Celebrities Over Harmful Product Endorsements

Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe said famous artists should be careful about what they promote.

He agreed with President Droupadi Murmu’s message about products that could harm people’s health.

Murmu said celebrities can strongly influence young people.

Mundhe said being famous does not exempt anyone from following the law.

He also said artists are responsible for the products and habits they encourage.

Maharashtra has already sent notices to some artists about concerning endorsements.

Mundhe said protecting public health is more important than making money from advertisements.

He believes influence should not be used to promote harmful products.
