BLACKPINK Turns 10: Jisoo Apologizes to Fans Amid Backlash
BLACKPINK is a very famous K-pop girl group.
They have been singing together for ten years.
A ten-year birthday is a big deal, so they celebrated with their fans, who are called BLINKs.
The four members — Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa — got together for a live video chat on Weverse.
Their music company, YG Entertainment, also planned a thank-you event for fans.
But the event could only fit 40 fans, and many BLINKs were upset about that.
Jisoo apologized and said there was a communication problem.
She told fans she loves them and hopes they understand.
The other members also wrote sweet messages thanking fans for ten years of support.
BLACKPINK started in 2016 with the song album Square One, and their newest album, Deadline, came out in February 2026.
BLACKPINK completed 10 years in music since debuting with the single album Square One on August 8, 2016, under YG Entertainment.
The four members reunited for a 10th anniversary livestream on Weverse, where Jisoo apologized for a 'communication issue' that left fans disappointed.
YG Entertainment's anniversary event, scheduled for Saturday, was limited to 40 participants and drew backlash from BLINKs.
Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa shared heartfelt posts on Instagram and Bubble thanking fans for a decade of support.
The group's latest release is third mini-album Deadline, which came out on February 27, 2026.
