Villagers Protest CJP School Visit in Rajasthan Village

Villagers Protest CJP School Visit in Rajasthan Village

Residents of a Rajasthan village are angry about a visit by Citizens for Justice and Peace, or CJP.

CJP inspected a local school with makeshift arrangements.

The residents say the group created a controversy to gain publicity.

They were especially upset that the school was called a “cattle shed.”

They also objected to comments about a local temple.

One resident alleged that an FIR was part of the publicity effort.

The villagers said they may march to a police station and offer mass arrests.

They also said they would protest if CJP returned to the village or nearby areas.
