Rangareddy Issues Notices to 68 Teachers Over Missing FRS Attendance

Officials in Rangareddy found that 68 government school teachers had not recorded their attendance using a face-scanning system.

The system is required in Telangana’s government schools.

The district education officer sent the teachers notices asking them to explain what happened.

Their explanations will be reviewed, and disciplinary action may follow.

The officer said schools would continue to be checked for attendance, teaching and student learning.

The district collector also told the treasury to base teachers’ salary payments on the attendance records.

Officials say this is intended to encourage teachers to follow attendance rules.
