Sayani Gupta's Directorial Debut Short Film Withdrawn Over Copyright Concerns
An actress named Sayani Gupta made her very first short movie, called Aasmani.
Another actress, Revathy, acts in the movie.
The movie was going to be shown at a film festival in New Zealand.
The festival is called The Indian Film Festival of New Zealand.
But the people who run the festival decided to take the movie out of the lineup.
The festival director said the movie was removed just to be careful.
This is happening while some official checks are going on.
Some people say the movie has something to do with copyright problems.
Copyright is about who owns the rights to a story or a creation.
So right now, nobody knows if the movie will ever be shown at this festival.
Sayani Gupta made her directorial debut with the short film 'Aasmani,' starring Revathy.
The film was scheduled to screen at The Indian Film Festival of New Zealand (TIFFNZ).
Festival organisers officially withdrew the invitation for the screening.
TIFFNZ director Petrina D'Rozario said the film was pulled as a 'precautionary measure' while formal proceedings take place.
Sources told a magazine that the withdrawal was over alleged copyright concerns.
