Congress Plans Nationwide Protests on Paper Leaks, Temple Donations

Congress leaders met to decide what issues they will raise after Parliament’s monsoon session.

They said police action against students protesting paper leaks was one reason the session was disrupted.

Congress plans to take its student campaign to almost 800 cities.

Rahul Gandhi is expected to lead many of these events.

The party also wants to highlight alleged theft of donations at the Ayodhya Ram temple.

It called the existing investigation inadequate and asked for a judicial investigation and a full audit.

Congress also discussed activities along the India-China border and changes to parliamentary seat distribution.

It wants the number of Lok Sabha seats and their state-wise distribution to stay unchanged for 25 years.

The party also said women’s one-third reservation should begin with the 2029 election.
