Rhode Island Celebrates Rath Yatra with Grand Fanfare

The Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Rhode Island.

The Sri Siddhi Vinayak Temple in Warwick was beautifully decorated for the occasion.

The day started with special religious rituals like Mangala Arati and Homo.

The idols of the deities were taken out in a colorful procession to a newly built chariot.

The chariot and deities were adorned with intricate floral decorations.

The atmosphere was filled with the sounds of traditional instruments and chants.

A special moment was when Goddess Subhadra was taken to her chariot by an all-female procession.

The Chairman of the temple performed the traditional chariot-sweeping ritual.

Devotees were amazed by the sight of the deities during their journey through the streets.

The event also featured cultural performances, including bhajan recitals, Odissi and Kathak dances, and a live rendition of Odia Jananas.
