Hyderabad Reservoirs See Inflows, Officials Prepare for More Rain
Heavy rains have caused water levels to rise in two of Hyderabad's main water reservoirs, Himayatsagar and Osmansagar.
Officials are watching the situation closely and preparing for more water to come in.
The city is making sure to keep a close eye on the reservoirs.
The head of the water board visited the reservoirs to check on things, and has asked staff to increase monitoring efforts, ensuring the city's water supply remains safe.
Heavy rainfall in upstream areas has caused inflows into Himayatsagar and Osmansagar reservoirs.
HMWS&SB is preparing for increased water levels.
Ashok Reddy, MD of HMWS&SB, assessed the situation at both reservoirs on Friday.
Officials were instructed to increase CCTV monitoring and patrolling due to forecast of more rain.
