MHADA Appoints Keystone for GTB Nagar Redevelopment
MHADA is helping rebuild homes for about 1,200 Sindhi families in Mumbai who had to move out of their old apartments.
The government chose a company to build new buildings on the land.
The families will get new apartments and money to pay for their rent and upkeep.
The project was delayed by legal issues in the past, but now, the work can continue.
The new buildings will be built like another recent project in Mumbai.
MHADA appointed Keystone Realtors to redevelop 20 residential buildings in GTB Nagar.
The project aims to house 1,200 Sindhi refugee families displaced in 2020.
Families will receive free flats of 635 sq ft and monthly rent from MHADA until possession.
The project is on private land and is being carried out under DCPR Regulation 33(9).
Legal delays in Bombay High Court and Supreme Court previously affected the project.
