KCR Summoned for Phone Tapping Case
K Chandrashekar Rao, also known as KCR, is the former Chief Minister of Telangana.
He has been asked to talk to a special police team about a case where people's phones were secretly listened to without permission.
KCR is willing to talk to the police but wants them to come to his farmhouse, which is about 60 km from Hyderabad.
He is over 65 years old, and the law says people his age can be questioned at their home.
The police team, however, wants him to come to Hyderabad.
KCR's team is going to tell the police that they should come to his farmhouse instead.
The main person accused in this case is a former intelligence chief, and four police officers were also arrested for deleting important information and for the phone tapping.
They were later released on bail.
The BJP says the police are just trying to get attention and not doing real work.
They want a judge to look into the case.
The BRS party says the police are being unfair to KCR.
KCR summoned by SIT for phone tapping case, requests postponement due to municipal polls.
KCR insists on being examined at his farmhouse in Medak district, citing CrPC 160.
SIT insists KCR should appear within its Hyderabad jurisdiction for questioning.
BJP alleges SIT notices are a publicity stunt and demands a judicial inquiry.
