Fog Disrupts Flights, Traffic in Andhra Pradesh
Thick fog has been causing problems in Andhra Pradesh for the past few days.
Many flights have been delayed or cancelled, especially in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Rajamahendravaram.
The fog makes it hard for planes to land and for people to drive safely in the early morning.
The fog is expected to last for two more days.
It happens because of something called 'temperature inversion,' where the air near the ground is warmer than the air above it, and there's a lot of humidity.
This makes the fog thicker and affects the air quality, which can be bad for people's health.
The fog usually goes away after the sun rises.
Thick fog disrupted flight operations at Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Rajamahendravaram airports, causing delays, diversions, and cancellations.
Four flights were delayed by one to two hours, and one flight was cancelled due to poor visibility.
The delayed flights included services from Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai, operated by Air India, Air India Express, and IndiGo.
The cancelled flight was an Air India Express service from Visakhapatnam to Vijayawada.
Flights resumed normal operations after 10 am once visibility improved, but fog is expected to persist for two more days.
