Ashok Leyland, a big vehicle-making company, opened a new factory in Lucknow, India.
This factory will make electric vehicles (EVs) and other clean mobility vehicles.
The company's chairman, Dheeraj Hinduja, said they want to be one of the top 10 vehicle makers in the world.
The new factory cost ₹1,000 crore to build and can make up to 5,000 vehicles per year.
Important people like the Defence Minister and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh were there for the opening.
The factory will create jobs for many people and is part of Ashok Leyland's plan to make better and more environmentally friendly vehicles.
The Defence Minister said that electric vehicles are the future and that this factory will help India use more clean energy.
The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh is becoming a big place for making things, including defence equipment and electronic goods.
Ashok Leyland inaugurated a ₹1,000 crore greenfield manufacturing facility in Lucknow focused on clean mobility, primarily for electric vehicles (EVs).
