Mahindra Overtakes Hyundai to Claim No. 2 in India
In India, a company called Mahindra is now the second-biggest seller of cars, beating Hyundai after a long time.
Hyundai had been in second place for 25 years, but Mahindra sold more cars this year.
Mahindra's cars, including both gas-powered and electric models, are selling well.
Hyundai's sales have slowed down, possibly because their car models are not as exciting anymore.
Mahindra is also planning to release new cars soon.
The top car seller in India is still Maruti Suzuki, even though their sales have slightly decreased.
Mahindra & Mahindra has surpassed Hyundai India to become the second-largest carmaker in India.
This marks the end of Hyundai's 25-year reign in the second position.
Mahindra's sales increased by 20.2% while Hyundai's sales dropped by 8.1% in the analyzed period.
Analysts attribute Hyundai's slowdown to product fatigue and overreliance on the Creta model.
Mahindra is experiencing growth with its ICE and EV models and has new launches planned.
