Karnataka Partners with BEL for Tech-Driven Agricultural Advisory
The Karnataka government is teaming up with a tech company, BEL, to help farmers.
They're building a special computer system called a dashboard.
This dashboard will collect and analyze all sorts of information about crops, weather, and government programs.
Then, it will give farmers advice that's tailored just for them.
This will all be available through the 'Raitha Kare Kendra' call centre.
It's like giving farmers a smart assistant!
First, they'll try it out for a year, and if it works, they'll roll it out fully for four more years.
The goal is to make farming easier and more efficient using new technology.
Karnataka Agri Department partners with BEL for tech-driven farmer advisory.
MoU aims to create a centralized dashboard using data analytics.
The dashboard will integrate agricultural datasets for advisory services.
BEL will customize its Equinox platform for agriculture applications.
The project will be implemented in a one-year pilot phase followed by a four-year full-scale implementation.
