SpaceX Plans $30B+ IPO for 2026
SpaceX, the company led by Elon Musk, is planning to go public in 2026.
This means they will sell shares of their company to the public for the first time.
They hope to raise more than $30 billion, which would make it the biggest IPO ever.
SpaceX is valued at about $1.5 trillion, which is similar to the value of Saudi Aramco when it went public in 2019.
The company makes most of its money from Starlink, its satellite internet service.
They plan to use the money from the IPO to build space-based data centers and other projects.
The IPO could happen later if market conditions change.
SpaceX is also allowing employees to sell some of their shares and is buying back some shares itself.
The company has been making money for many years and does this twice a year to give employees and investors a chance to sell their shares.
Investors are excited about the possibility of owning a piece of SpaceX, but Elon Musk has said that the company doesn't need to raise cash by selling stock because it is already making money.
SpaceX is planning an IPO for mid-to-late 2026, targeting a valuation of $1.5 trillion.
The IPO aims to raise significantly more than $30 billion, potentially making it the largest IPO ever.
SpaceX's revenue is expected to be around $15 billion in 2025 and $22-24 billion in 2026, mostly from Starlink.
Funds raised will be used for space-based data centers and other projects.
The current share price is around $420, with a valuation above $800 billion.
