Aadhaar Mandatory for IRCTC Tatkal Ticket Bookings
Starting July 1, if you want to book a train ticket quickly (Tatkal), you'll need to link your Aadhaar with your IRCTC account.
This is because the government wants to make sure the person booking the ticket is really who they say they are.
You'll need to go to your IRCTC account, provide your Aadhaar info, and get an OTP (one-time code) on your phone to verify.
From July 15, you will also need OTP to book the tatkal ticket.
This helps keep the system secure and makes booking easier.
Aadhaar authentication is mandatory for Tatkal ticket bookings starting July 1.
Bookings via IRCTC website or app require Aadhaar verification.
Aadhaar-based OTP authentication for Tatkal bookings starts July 15.
Linking Aadhaar to IRCTC accounts is urged for streamlined booking.
The changes aim to enhance security and convenience for travelers.
