Actresses Defend Housefull 5 Amid Backlash

Sonam Bajwa and Chitrangda Singh, who acted in Housefull 5, talked about the criticism the movie got for how women were shown.

Some people said the women in the movie were just there to look pretty and didn't have important roles.

Sonam said she knew her role was small but she still tried to show her acting skills.

She also said that sometimes women actors have to start with small, glamorous roles before they get bigger, more serious parts.

She gave the example of Alia Bhatt, who started with small roles and later did great work in bigger movies.

Chitrangda acknowledged that some physical comedy involving women might be uncomfortable to watch, but she defended the film's comedic style.

Sonam has also acted in other movies like Baaghi 4 and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, and her Punjabi movie Godday Godday Chaa won a National Award.
