Arunachal SEC Introduces On-the-Spot Voting for Poll Duty Staff
The State Election Commission in Arunachal Pradesh has started a new way for people working in the elections to vote.
Instead of using postal ballots, they can now vote right away at a special place.
This is for the upcoming city council elections in Itanagar and Pasighat.
The workers need to ask for this special voting permission a few days before the election.
The election officials will check their details and let them vote.
The voting will happen in front of the candidates or their representatives to make sure it's fair.
This change is to make sure everyone who works in the elections can vote easily.
The elections will be on December 15, and the results will be counted on December 20.
The State Election Commission (SEC) of Arunachal Pradesh introduced on-the-spot voting for poll duty staff for the upcoming municipal elections.
Polling personnel from Itanagar and Pasighat can apply for this facility, attaching their election duty appointment order.
The Municipal Returning Officer (MRO) will verify the identity and appointment order, then allow on-the-spot voting.
Voting will be done in the presence of contesting candidates or their representatives to ensure transparency.
The 12th general election to panchayat bodies and the third municipal polls will be held on December 15, with counting on December 20.
