Kuwait Introduces Six-Month Residency Cap for Expats
Kuwait has made new rules for people who live there but aren't from Kuwait.
Now, these people can't be outside Kuwait for more than six months.
This rule applies to almost everyone, but there are some exceptions, like children of Kuwaiti women, people who own property, and foreign investors.
For people who work in homes, like maids, the limit is four months, but they can ask for more time if their boss says it's okay.
The government says these rules will help them manage who lives in Kuwait better.
Kuwait introduces a six-month cap on expatriates' time abroad under new residency rules.
The decision applies to all residency permits, with exemptions for specific groups.
Children of Kuwaiti women, property owners, and foreign investors are exempt from the rule.
Domestic workers are limited to four months abroad, extendable with approved leave.
The changes aim to streamline residency management and ensure compliance.
