APPSC Modifies Exam Rules for Govt Job Recruitment
The government in Andhra Pradesh is changing how it hires people for jobs.
Before, there was always a first test (prelims) and a second (mains) if enough people applied.
Now, prelims will only happen if way more people apply than there are jobs – like 200 people for every job.
If not enough people apply, there will be only one exam.
This makes it quicker and easier for the government to hire people.
APPSC will hold prelims only if applications exceed 200 times the vacancies.
Previously, prelims were triggered by 25,000+ applications, regardless of vacancies.
If the application threshold is not met, only a single main exam will be conducted.
The change streamlines recruitment and reduces candidate burden.
The new structure applies to Forest Section Officer and Beat Officer posts.
