South Africa to Wait Until 2026 for Home Test Series
South Africa, the current Test champions, won't play a home Test match until late 2026.
This is because the cricket stadiums are being renovated.
Also, the T20 World Cup is happening, which means the usual T20 league will be moved.
South Africa is also preparing to host the ODI World Cup.
Because of all of this, they will play a lot of test matches overseas before getting to play a home test match.
South Africa will not host a home Test series until October 2026.
Scheduling conflicts and stadium renovations are the primary reasons for the delay.
South Africa's next Test assignment is a series in India in November.
The SA20 league will shift its schedule due to the T20 World Cup.
Renovations are planned for South African venues ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup.
