Telangana’s Electricity Demand Reaches Record 19,400 MW Mark
Telangana used a record amount of electricity on September 30.
The reported total demand was 19,400 megawatts.
TGSPDCL, one of the state’s power distribution companies, recorded 12,299 megawatts at its busiest time.
TGNPDCL recorded another 6,736 megawatts.
Officials said the power system managed the high demand successfully.
They are preparing for future needs because demand is growing by about 6% to 7% each year.
Their plans include building and improving substations and strengthening power lines.
Officials also said most agricultural power connections are being released on time, with a few applications waiting for documents or payments.
