Budget 2026 Boosts Traditional and Allied Health

The AYUSH Minister, Prataprao Jadhav, is very happy with the new budget.

The government has given a lot of money, Rs 4,408 crore, to improve traditional medicine like Ayurveda, Yoga, and others.

This money will help build new schools, research centers, and make sure the medicines are good quality.

The minister says this will help people all over India and make India a leader in traditional medicine around the world.

The budget also focuses on making sure old wisdom and new science work together to make people healthier.

Additionally, professors from the Indian School of Business (ISB) praised the budget for its provision to upgrade and establish new institutions for Allied Health Professionals (AHPs).

They said this is important because India needs more healthcare workers who can take care of patients outside of hospitals, especially with the increasing use of digital technologies.

They also warned that the quality of education for these professionals should not be compromised.
