Gita Saaram through Kuchipudi Dance
A young girl named Ananya, who is a talented Kuchipudi dancer, recently performed a special show called 'Geetha Saaram'.
In this show, she recited 54 verses from the Bhagavad Gita and danced to them using the Kuchipudi style.
She wore a beautiful yellow and gold dress that looked like Lord Krishna's clothes.
Ananya has learned all 700 verses of the Gita by heart and has also been a TV anchor and a musician.
Her teacher, Dr. Usha Gayatri, helped choreograph the dance, and her mother helped with the expressions.
The show was very moving and showed the important lessons from the Gita, like doing your duty without wanting anything in return and worshipping the Lord with devotion.
The audience loved it, especially when Ananya danced the part about Lord Krishna's cosmic form.
This show was a great way to share the Gita's teachings through dance and inspire others to learn more about it.
Ventrapragada Nuthna Ananya, a Class 9 student and Kuchipudi dancer, performed a solo recital titled 'Geetha Saaram – Sloka Recitation and Nrutyabhinaya' at Ravindra Bharathi.
The performance blended 54 slokas from the Bhagavad Gita with Kuchipudi dance, choreographed by Dr. Maddali Usha Gayatri and curated by Ananya's mother, Vani Bhavani.
Ananya has memorized all 700 slokas of the Gita and has also been a TV anchor and a musician, learning the violin and vocal music.
The performance included live sloka recitation, musical rendition, and dance, with the essence of the Gita conveyed through abhinaya and nritta.
The show highlighted the teachings of the Gita, such as performing duty without attachment, controlling the mind, and worshipping the Lord with devotion, culminating in the dramatic portrayal of Lord Krishna's Vishwaroopa.
