Municipal workers protest in Guntur
Municipal workers in Guntur went on a protest called a dharna at their office.
They are part of a group called AITUC.
They want the government to let them work until they are 62 years old, pay them money that is owed, and make sure the families of workers who died on the job are taken care of.
They also want unfair rules against workers to be stopped.
They talked to the Mayor and gave him a letter with their demands.
They said if their demands are not met, they will protest even more.
Municipal workers under AITUC staged a dharna at Guntur Municipal Corporation office.
They demanded the retirement age for APCOS workers be increased to 62 years.
They requested immediate clearance of pending dues for permanent and APCOS workers.
They urged job security for families of workers who died on duty.
