Karnataka Declares Special Agricultural Zone

Karnataka Declares Special Agricultural Zone

The Karnataka government has declared 1,777 acres of land in Devanahalli as a Permanent Special Agricultural Zone.

This means the land will be used only for farming, and farmers can sell their land freely without any restrictions.

The government clarified that this decision was made to honor the farmers' wish to continue agriculture and to prevent developers from taking advantage of them.

The land was originally planned for an Aerospace Park, but the government changed its plan after the farmers protested.

The government will provide better facilities for farming, like high-yield seeds, cold storage, and better market access.

They will also study similar zones in other states to give more benefits to the farmers.

The government wants to make sure that agriculture grows along with industrial development.
