Bargiel First to Ski Down Everest Without Oxygen
Imagine someone climbing the world's highest mountain, Everest, and then skiing down!
Andrzej Bargiel did exactly that.
He became the first person to ski down Everest without needing extra oxygen.
He spent only a few minutes at the summit before starting.
Bargiel also had to pause at Camp 2 due to nightfall and then continued his descent at sunrise.
This achievement is a first in the world of mountaineering and skiing.
He has also skied down the second-highest mountain in the world, K2.
This feat also connects to Poland's rich Himalayan tradition.
Andrzej Bargiel skied down Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen.
This is the first time anyone has accomplished this.
Bargiel's climb took longer due to heavy snow.
He had to stop at Camp 2 because of nightfall.
