Bengaluru Constable Allegedly Attacked With Iron Rod After Complaint Delay
A police constable named D. Shilpa was working at a railway police station in Bengaluru.
She is 28 years old and was reportedly pregnant.
A man identified as Gajendra came to report that his mobile phone was missing or stolen.
Shilpa reportedly asked him to return later because other police staff were not there.

Police said the accused, identified as Gajendra, had sought to report a missing or stolen mobile phone.
Shilpa allegedly asked him to return later because other personnel were unavailable; he reportedly returned and attacked her.
Police said he struck her head six to eight times with an iron rod attached to a barricade wheel.
Gajendra was arrested, while Shilpa received treatment at Manipal Hospital and Suguna Hospital for serious head injuries.
