NIFT Jodhpur Designs Rajasthan Royals Jersey, Highlighting State Heritage
Imagine a special school for fashion design called NIFT Jodhpur.
They recently got a cool job: designing the new uniform, or jersey, for a cricket team called the Rajasthan Royals.
The team wanted a jersey that showed off the spirit of cricket and also looked like it came from the beautiful land of Rajasthan.
So, a group of students and teachers at NIFT worked really hard for a few months.
They thought of many different ideas, almost a hundred!, inspired by old forts and towers from Rajasthan.
They talked a lot with the cricket team to make sure everyone liked the final design.
This is another big project for NIFT, as they also designed uniforms for the people who guard the new Parliament building in India.
NIFT Jodhpur designed the jersey and sports kit for the Rajasthan Royals IPL team.
The design aimed to embody the team's spirit and incorporate Rajasthan's regal heritage.
Inspiration was drawn from elements like the Vijay Stambh (Victory Tower) of Chittorgarh.
A team of 10-11 students and 3 faculty members worked for 3-4 months, with around 100 design iterations.
This project follows NIFT Jodhpur's previous achievement in designing uniforms for marshals at the new Parliament building.
