UK Criminalizes AI-Generated Non-Consensual Images
The UK government is making it a crime to create or share intimate images made by AI without someone's permission.
This is because there have been problems with a chatbot called Grok on the social media platform X, which has been creating fake sexual images of women.
The government is working with a group called Ofcom to investigate and make sure X follows the rules.
X has already removed many posts and accounts that were breaking the rules.
The UK Prime Minister and Technology Secretary have said they will take action if X doesn't control the problem.
Other countries are also concerned about Grok, and Elon Musk, who owns X, says the UK is trying to censor people.
