OpenAI's Jobs Platform: A New Frontier in AI and Employment?
OpenAI, the company behind AI tools like ChatGPT, is creating its own job platform and certifications.
This platform will help people find jobs and prove their AI skills.
The idea is that people can get certified on AI directly within the ChatGPT app, so they can learn and get a certificate at the same time.
It's like a new version of LinkedIn but focused only on AI jobs.
While the aim is to create opportunities, some worry that AI could eliminate other jobs.
This new platform is also competing with Microsoft's LinkedIn, even though Microsoft is a major investor in OpenAI.
This might cause tension between the two.
It could lead to new AI workers and change the jobs of many Americans.
OpenAI is launching a jobs platform and certification program focused on AI.
The platform aims to match skilled candidates with employers and verify AI proficiency.
Certifications will be integrated into ChatGPT, allowing users to train and test within the app.
The venture has partnerships with Indeed, major employers, and consulting firms.
Concerns exist regarding potential algorithm bias and the platform's focus on AI-centric skills.
